CIOFF® groups showcase a rich tapestry of folklore through their performances. Their programs can range from authentic representations of cultural traditions to elaborate displays that highlight the beauty of their heritage. Additionally, some performances take on a stylized approach, blending traditional elements with artistic interpretations. Each presentation offers a unique glimpse into the world of, celebrating diversity and creativity.
Authentic
The expressions presented are regional, the costumes and instruments are authentic or faithfully reconstructed, and the music and dance are presented without arrangements.
Elaborated
The expressions presented cover more than one region, the costumes and instruments (or music) are harmonized, and the dance elements are modified or created by the group.
Stylized
The expressions presented are created by the group and are inspired by their country's traditional culture. The costumes, dances, and music are either created or adapted for the stage.
