Sección Argentina CIOFF®

La sección Argentina de CIOFF® fue creada en 1988 por iniciativa del Prof. Alcides Hugo Ifrán, junto a un grupo de docentes, directores y artistas de distintos puntos del país. Desde sus comienzos, realizó una asamblea mundial, la primera fuera del continente europeo (1992), Festivales Internacionales con subsedes regionales en distintos puntos del país; se creó el primer Museo Universal del traje con formato itinerante con más de 40 exposiciones en diversas provincias y localidades; se conformó la 1er. Comisión Juvenil (1992), pionera del movimiento a nivel mundial; se creó el Banco de Memoria “Guillermo Iriarte”, verdadero testimonio de preservación del patrimonio intangible con destacada actualidad en el país, Actualmente se desarrollan actividades de forma continua como Foros culturales, reuniones anuales de directores de grupos, proyectos culturales de preservación y difusión del P.C.I., Congresos y Asambleas de la Sección, actividades vinculantes con jóvenes y adultos mayores incentivando el diálogo intergeneracional; la actividad artística y cultural se visualiza en forma continua a través de sitios y redes pertenecientes a la sección, vinculando a la población con el hacer del movimiento a nivel nacional e internacional. Actualmente la sección consta de asociados y grupos pertenecientes a siete provincias y localidades de diversas regiones del país, dando testimonio de alcance federal y participativo del movimiento. Los grupos artísticos que representan a la sección en giras por diversos festivales en los 5 continentes dan testimonio de autenticidad y respeto por el patrimonio expresivo folklórico argentino, exponiendo con gran valor técnico y profesional danzas, música y artesanías con verdaderos exponentes de calidad en cada disciplina que se presenta. En cada una de las actividades y propuestas nacidas del seno de la sección, se plasma y visualiza el sentido de pertenencia para con la ONG, demostrando su esencia abierta, democrática y participativa, que desde sus comienzos la convirtió, y lo sigue demostrando, como ejemplo de sección a nivel mundial de CIOFF®.

As Cioff China, also a national, academic, and non-profit social organization under the guidance of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, the main function of our association includes theoretical research, as well as international culture exchange activities. As an important social force to actively promote the professionalization, socialization, and internationalization of the folk culture and public culture, the association is keening on reformation, innovation, and future development of mass cultural undertakings. At present, our association has attracted over 100 institution members and over 600 individual members, it has also established 7 professional committees, including the Brand and Intellectual Property Licensing Committee, Visual Arts Committee, Basic Theory and Innovative Practice Research Committee, Street Dance Art Promotion Committee, Dragon Lantern and Dragon Dance Committee, Music Committee, and Dance Committee. Meanwhile, under the guidance of the Public Service Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, our association has close collaboration with the National Public Cultural Development Center and many companies and research institutions at all levels. During the past few years, we have participated in and hosted many domestic and international cultural events, such as “The 2022 Rural Public Cultural Space Design Exhibition”, “The 2nd Grand Canal Folk Music Culture Heritage Exhibition Week”, “The Most Beautiful Public Cultural Space Competition in the Yangtze River Delta region and some provinces and cities in China in 2022”, “Finding ‘the Most Beautiful Public Cultural Space’ in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”, “Series of interviews on the Innovation and Development of Mass Culture in the New Era”, “ Hometown of Chinese Folk Art", etc. In 2023, we organized more representative cultural activities, like “The 1st China Mass Culture Association Brand Development Conference”, and we will host our first international Festival after the pandemic named “Shenzhen International Folk Arts Season”, from 31st December 2024 to 6th January 2025 in Shenzhen city. During the event, 5-8 foreign folklore ensembles, dance and music art groups will be invited to participate in the festival. They will perform together with some domestic art groups in stage performances to demonstrate the originality and richness of the music and dance folklore of the world.

The CIOFF® Costa Rica National Section is an organization committed to the protection and promotion of the country's folklore and cultural traditions. Through its ongoing work, it supports artistic groups from different regions, providing spaces for learning, expression, and cultural exchange. By organizing workshops, talks, meetings, and training activities, the CIOFF® Costa Rica National Section strengthens the work of folklore groups and motivates new generations to keep alive the cultural expressions unique to each community. These actions not only rescue traditional practices but also foster pride in the Costa Rican identity and consolidate the social fabric around art and culture. With an inclusive and decentralized vision, the organization promotes initiatives that reach rural and urban areas, encouraging the active participation of children, youth, and adults in cultural processes that enrich the country's intangible heritage.

CIOFF® Croatia is a voluntary, independent, and non-profit association of folklore festival organizers and other organizers of folklore events, folklore ensembles, cultural and artistic societies with folklore sections, as well as folklore groups and individuals. The association does not permit racial, gender, national, religious, or political discrimination, nor violations of human rights and freedoms. Since its establishment in 1992, CIOFF® Croatia has been an active, full-fledged member of the international organization CIOFF®, founded in 1970 and headquartered in Paris. CIOFF® works to preserve, promote, and spread traditional culture worldwide and, as an accredited partner of UNESCO®, has a permanent representative on the Council for Intangible Cultural Heritage. The main goal of CIOFF® Croatia is to preserve peace and foster good cooperation among nations through traditional culture. Other goals include: encouraging, developing, and improving culture; preserving ethnographic heritage; nurturing the dance, music, and vocal expressions of folklore from all regions of the Republic of Croatia by participating in international festivals/meetings/folklore showcases; and presenting Croatian folklore heritage at international symposia and congresses related to intangible cultural heritage.

La Sección colabora en la realización de las tareas y objetivos básicos del CIOFF. Participa activamente en el trabajo del Sector Centroeuropeo del CIOFF y de EURO-CIOFF para promover las relaciones amistosas entre las naciones, especialmente entre los jóvenes, y prestar atención y respeto a las tradiciones culturales de todas las naciones y nacionalidades. Envía un delegado a las asambleas generales, conferencias, festivales y otros eventos del CIOFF. Prepara informes, materiales y otros documentos importantes de alcance nacional. Participa en las actividades de las diversas Comisiones y Grupos de Trabajo del CIOFF, en la medida de lo posible, e informa a sus miembros sobre las actividades que se llevan a cabo en otros países en el campo de la cultura tradicional y popular. Cada año informa al Comité Ejecutivo del CIOFF sobre el estado de la cultura tradicional y popular en la República Checa, sobre las fechas de los festivales folclóricos internacionales, conferencias, simposios, coloquios, exposiciones y otros eventos prácticos y metódicos a los que pueden asistir otros miembros del CIOFF. CIOFF Ecuador (International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Traditional Arts) is the national representation of CIOFF, an international non-governmental organization associated with UNESCO, whose mission is to preserve, promote, and disseminate traditional culture and folklore. Through its members and cultural activities, CIOFF Ecuador seeks to safeguard the country's traditional cultural expressions, fostering cultural diversity and exchange between different regions of the world. The organization also works to transmit these traditions to new generations, contributing to the strengthening of Ecuadorian cultural identity in a global context. CIOFF Ecuador actively participates in international events, promoting the richness of Ecuadorian folklore on global platforms, while organizing local festivals and collaborating with communities to keep their customs and artistic expressions alive.

Estonian Folklore Council is a non-governmental organization, set up on an interdisciplinary basis and acts as the roof-organization for all institutions, which are practically, organizationally and scientifically engaged in folk culture, folk art and the cultural heritage and function in accordance with the aims of the Council – to safeguard, transmit and diffuse of traditional culture. The Estonian Folklore Council (EFC) was founded in 1992. EFC represent Estonian Republic in the International Council of Organizations for Folklore Festivals and Folk Art (CIOFF® – NGO in formal consultative relations with UNESCO) in the rights of the Estonian National Section (CIOFF® Estonia) and belongs in the Northern-European Sector of CIOFF®. EFC is fully acknowledged by the Ministry of Culture of Estonia. The main objectives of EFC are: - to support, direct and mediate national and international cooperation in the sphere of folklore movement; - to maintain, revive and develop national and regional cultural traditions; - to transmit of cultural heritage to children and youth; - to appraise the role of folklore in the present-day culture; - to create understanding and tolerance between the various peoples of the world; - to bring together scientific and practical knowledge; - to consult folklore groups and festival organizers; - to participate in CIOFF® and UNESCO programs; - to organize the CIOFF® International Folklore Festival BALTICA in Estonia.

The National Section CIOFF® Greece was officially founded in 1990. Before the official establishment, 5 organizers of International Folklore Festivals in Greece (Ioannina, Karditsa, Naoussa, Katerini, Nea Karvali) made all the necessary contacts with CIOFF® Bodies, for the creation of the association in Greece, in collaboration with other cultural associations and groups in Greece and with the support of Ministries. Also, representatives from Greece participated in CIOFF® World Congresses and thus got all the information and support to establish the National Section. From the very first year the 5 International Folklore Festivals in Greece were upgraded and joined the CIOFF® network, received the recognitions as CIOFF® International Festivals and were organized according to CIOFF® rules. Over the years, more cultural associations and groups from various cities and regions became members of the National Section and more International Folklore Festivals were added. In 1997 CIOFF® Greece had the honor of organizing the CIOFF® World Congress in Thessaloniki and in the past has hosted Sector's Meetings in Greece. In 2023 the National Section CIOFF® Greece in collaboration with the Ionian University and the Cultural Association of Sinies Corfu and with the support of Ministries and Local Authorities, organized the flagship Festival of the South European Sector, the Festival of Mediterranean Cultures in Corfu, which was organized in support of the 20th anniversary of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Convention. In 2013, the Greek CIOFF® Youth Commission was created with youth members in various cities of Greece and with many activities since then. Today, CIOFF® Greece has many members, cultural associations, dance groups, philharmonic bands, organizations and individuals as artisans, craftsmen, folklore researchers and dance professors and teachers. There are 10 National and International Folklore Festivals within CIOFF® Greece and some others in collaboration. The National Section CIOFF® Greece has signed cooperation agreements with an UNESCO Chair, the Music Heritage Institute and other Organizations. In collaboration with Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Sports Department), CIOFF® Greece carried out many activities, conferences and research on Folklore Festivals and their impact on local communities and on the impact of COVID19 on Cultural and Dance Associations in Greece. It is member of the National Network of Living Heritage in Greece. In addition, it has applied to the Ministry of Culture for the recognition of CIOFF® Festivals as "Good Practice" on safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Every year, CIOFF® Greece organizes in a different city, a General Assembly which includes cultural conferences or forums in collaboration with the local authorities, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Tourism, the National Committee of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, etc. The CIOFF® Greece National Section is leaded by a 7-member Board of Directors and has an active Youth Commission.

La Sección Polaca de CIOFF®, que opera como asociación, ha desempeñado un papel muy activo en la organización desde su creación. The National Section of Serbia was founded in 1995, and since then it has been actively mediating in securing folklore groups from abroad to participate in our festivals, as well as securing the participation of our ensembles in international folklore festivals within CIOFF. In 1999, the national section of Serbia hosted the congress of the Southern Europe and North Africa sector, which was successfully organized. After several years of difficulties in work, at the end of 2014, at the annual assembly of the national section. A new board of directors was elected and everything necessary was undertaken to return the section to an international organization. At the CIOFF annual assembly in 2015, which was held in Peru, Serbia again received the status of a full member (Full member) in the international organization CIOFF. in Niš and in which 18 countries participated. The National Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia has accepted the patronage of 13 international festivals in Serbia, which work under the auspices of the national section of CIOFF Serbia. Uno de los diez miembros fundadores de CIOFF® en 1970 fue el Dr. Bruno Ravnikar, que en esa época también fundó CIOFF® Yugoslavia. Cuando Yugoslavia se desintegró en 1991, fundó CIOFF® Eslovenia en el mismo año. CIOFF® Eslovenia perteneció primero al Sector Sur de Europa de CIOFF®, luego pasó a formar parte de CNES. Por supuesto, tratamos de ayudar a nuestros grupos miembros a realizar giras a festivales extranjeros donde muestren el patrimonio cultural esloveno. También ayudamos a nuestros festivales que necesitan nuestra ayuda. Recientemente, también hemos estado organizando seminarios, como seminarios de canto, seminarios para músicos folclóricos y, en el futuro, otros temas que nuestros miembros necesitan para poder funcionar lo mejor y con la mayor facilidad posible.

CIOFF® COREA (Consejo Internacional de Organizaciones de Festivales de Folklore y Artes Folclóricas, Sede Coreana) es una organización sin fines de lucro dedicada al intercambio cultural tradicional internacional, constituida oficialmente como entidad legal por el Ministerio de Cultura, Deportes y Turismo el 18 de abril de 2001. Corea se convirtió en miembro oficial de CIOFF® en 1980, con la creación de la Agencia de Promoción de las Artes y la Cultura de Corea. Desde la colaboración público-privada en 1993, Corea ha enviado grupos de folclore tradicional a participar en más de 10 festivales internacionales de folclore cada año, contribuyendo así a la promoción de nuestra cultura folclórica a nivel internacional.

El Festival de Billingham se enorgullece de ser uno de los miembros fundadores de CIOFF® International y de contar con Olga Maloney como su Directora Artística, quien lidera un equipo innovador. El Festival Internacional de Folklore de Danza del Mundo de Billingham (BIFF) ha acogido a 20.000 artistas de 95 países diferentes desde su fundación en 1965: 2025 será un año muy especial, ya que se celebra su increíble 60.º aniversario. El BIFF es un evento multicultural único que celebra la Danza del Mundo en toda su variedad y su fusión con otras formas de arte y el deporte. Durante cada festival, que ahora se celebra cada dos años, Billingham se transforma en un caleidoscopio de color, alegría de vivir y amistad. Billingham se convierte en un punto de encuentro para las culturas del mundo, mostrando la diversidad y la riqueza del mundo a través de las culturas tradicionales y contemporáneas en forma de danza, música, canciones, vestuario y artesanía. Estas se incorporan en diversas actuaciones, desfiles, exposiciones y talleres. Cada festival presenta a más de 300 artistas internacionales de todo el mundo. El Festival de Billingham no se limita a presentaciones y talleres: dos semanas antes y durante el festival, Billingham se convierte en un centro único para la colaboración creativa internacional entre coreógrafos e intérpretes, informando y compartiendo su práctica, creando nuevas obras en torno a la temática anual del festival y colaborando en una función emblemática del festival.

ASOCIACIÓN CULTURAL "OMONOIA" ARADIPPOU

OMONOIA ARADIPPOU se fundó en 1929 como club cultural y, posteriormente, en 1935, organizó el Club Deportivo. Durante este tiempo, OMONOIA ARADIPPOU se ha consolidado como uno de los grupos más activos de Chipre. Hoy en día, OMONOIA cuenta con un grupo de danza de 300 bailarines, un grupo de teatro y una filarmónica. Organizamos diversos eventos y seminarios a lo largo del año, como el festival OMONOIA ARADIPPOU y la Noche Internacional de la Gastronomía. OMONOIA representa a nuestra patria de forma destacada en docenas de festivales en Chipre y en el extranjero. Entre ellos, destacan los festivales internacionales de Léucade y Loutraki en Grecia, de Banja Luka y Gorizia en Italia, de Balingen y Tubinga en Alemania, de Praga (República Checa), de Londres y Birmingham (Reino Unido), y el Festival de Danza Folclórica Griega (FDF) en San Francisco y Phoenix (EE. UU.). OMONOIA ha organizado, durante varios años, festivales de varios días y ha acogido a diversos grupos de Chipre, Grecia, Italia, Polonia, Bulgaria, Rumanía e Israel. La unión se ha fusionado con la Asociación de Loutrakiots y Perahoritas 'IBYKOS', la Asociación Educativa y Cultural 'PYRSOS' de Paleofyto y la Asociación Cultural de Lagynas.

1.- Promote, organize, encourage, preserve, present, represent and disseminate the development of arts and culture in its different manifestations, including but not limited to; music, dance, theater, singing, crafts, literature, plastic arts, popular art, traditional games, rituals, gastronomic traditions.- 11.- Promote research and studies on Mexican folklore, fostering taste and sensitivity for all folkloric values within society and particularly among youth and children, thereby contributing to the conservation, development and dissemination of folklore and traditional arts of Mexico.- Ill.- Promote cultural and artistic activities, mainly related to folklore and traditional Mexican arts, in order to develop fine arts, as well as coordinate, support, promote, present and disseminate any festival and/or cultural and artistic activity in all its genres, whether national or international.- Promote cultural exchange between the association, its associates and the different cultural institutions, as well as in folkloric festivals and/or any type of traditional national and international art.- V.- Promote the Creation and organization of folk festivals, promoting the development of logistical and participation circuits that favor their development.-VI.- Promote and collaborate with folk festival organizations for a better organization and selection of participating folk groups, being in close contact with national and international festivals and organizations with the objective of acting as a promoter and link for cultural exchange of folk groups with other entities and/or folk festivals.- VII.- Promote the assistance of Mexican specialists to meetings related to folklore and traditional arts, both in Mexico and abroad.- VIII.- Develop feelings of friendship and mutual understanding, as well as ties of brotherhood and international cooperation among all participants in folk festivals and folkloric meetings or gatherings.-IX.- Collaborate with cultural and festival organizations. - To promote the development of methods of organization and implementation of programs for folklore festivals, concerts and meetings. X.- To contribute to the improvement of mutual exchanges of information with both national and international folklore groups. - XI. To maintain close relations of friendship and collaboration, to the extent possible, with folklore groups and festivals around the world. - XII.- To participate actively in the activities. of the world association, seeking to obtain commissions and assignment of directive positions, with the sole purpose of promoting the activities of this association.- XIII Carry out all types of artistic and cultural activities, through private, civil or official institutions by means of representations, performances, exhibitions, conferences, round tables, dissemination of all types of cultural activities through publications or participation in existing means of diffusion, as well as training, teaching, orientation, guidance and channeling in all types of artistic and cultural activities of both the associates and people outside the association, which may be official or private institutions or for third parties.- XIV Carry out as many activities as are necessary and conducive to achieving the goals stated above as a social object.
