Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
CIOFF®, founded in 1970, is an international cultural NGO comprising members worldwide who are dedicated to promoting folklore and traditional culture. The organization is divided into National Sections, each linked to one of six geographical sectors. Governance is provided by a council comprising 17 members. The National Sections unite folklore festivals and groups from their respective countries. CIOFF® members meet twice a year: once during a World Congress in the spring and again at Sector Meetings in the autumn. The highlight of these events is the lively celebration known as the World Folkloriada.
