“PAZARDZHIK DANCE OPEN” is an event created with love for dance and its performance. The championship aims to stimulate the needs of children, youth and adult dancers for self-expression and self-affirmation by providing a dance stage, professional attitude to the teams, excellent organization, qualified jury, friendly atmosphere and positive emotions.
Organized by dancers and leaders with many years of experience in partnership with the Pazardzhik Municipality and the Pazardzhik Municipal Children's Complex, PAZARDZHIK DANCE OPEN has the ambition to increase interest in dance and its promotion in the city of Pazardzhik and Bulgaria.
All clubs, schools, community centers and educational institutions that have regularly submitted their participation applications within the deadline have the right to participate.
Age categories:
Mini up to 8 years
Children from 9 to 11 years old.
Juniors from 12 to 16
Youth over 16
The categories in each age group are as follows:
Solo: 1 dancer (performance duration up to 2:30 min.)
Duo/ Trio: 2/3 dancers (performance duration up to 2:30 min.)
Group: 4 - 11 dancers (performance duration up to 3:00 min.)
Formation: 12 + dancers (performance duration up to 4:00 min.)
Bulgarian folk dances: duration of the performance up to 10:00 min.
BULGARIAN FOLK DANCES:
Entertainment dances from all folklore regions of Bulgaria. Choreographies should express the character of the chosen area(s) through the dancers' movements, costumes, vision and aura.
Choreography can be on instrumental or vocal accompaniment.
