International Folk Festival 'Polka'

International Folk Festiwal Polka started in 2016 in central Poland. This year it’s 8th edition and from the beggining it was lead under auspices of CIOFF – International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts. Folk Song and Dance Ensamble Bychlewianka is the host of IFF Polka. The event takes place in July 1-7th 2025 in Pabianice, Bychlew, Konstatynów Lódzki and Lutomiersk.
The idea was to invite up to 10 groups from all over the world and create a place where audition from central Poland could feel all the emotions and unforgettable experiences of cultural diversity and beauty. Bychlewianka Ensamble participated in many Festivals around the Europe and felt like inviting back some of their international friends to Poland. To increase the scale of cultural submersion some of the participants were placed in homes of local families.
Polka Festival is a grand dance and music celebration. Street parades, dance workshops, hours of concerts and this year – Etno Travel event makes it possible to know more about Polish and international heritage of traditional dance and music, exchange and make friends. It is folk family gathering and everybody is very welcome to join in.
