International and National folk festival 'Ðakovacki vezovi'

The first "Ðakovacki vezovi" were held on July 2nd and 3rd, 1967, as a specific occasional tourist-cultural event on the occasion of the International Year of Tourism on the initiative of Dr. Zvonimir Bencevic.The main event is held every year in July and lasts for three days. It commences on Friday with the opening ceremony and ends on Sunday with the program "Slavonia, the land of noblemen" and their solemn closing.
In these three days on the stage in Strossmayer's park is performed the original folklore primarily from Slavonia, Baranja and Western Srijem as well as other parts of Croatia. Fastival also hosts international groups.
