FOLKLORNI ANSAMBL ZAGREB-MARKOVAC

Folk dance ensemble Zagreb - Markovac is one of the best amateur folk ensembles in our country, recognized by the public and profession. In 2025, we will celebrate a great jubilee - the great anniversary of the ensemble's 80th year of work. Our ensemble is a group of passionate promoters of dance, friendship, joy and tradition, led by the motto that True art comes from the heart. We dance more than 70 choreographies from different parts of Croatia and abroad and own more than 400 costumes. As we are members of the Croatian section of CIOFF, Mr Enrih Merdić, president of Croatian CIOFF section, is familiar with our work and can recommend us.
We would be honored to show you at your festival at least part of our tradition and Croatian cultural heritage in which we immensely enjoy and take you on a journey through Croatian treasure. Some of our performances, which are the best illustrations of our love for folklore, work and effort, are available on YouTube, so we certainly recommend watching them and enjoy them regardless of our participation.
