Folklore group KUD Beltinci

The folklore group was founded in 1938. And still today group continues to try to preserve the dances as they once were! They mainly dance dances from Prekmurje region; with them still performs pozvačin, the man who once and still does today in his characteristic colorful costume invited people to a weddings. They are still faithful to wedding and harvest customs.
Dancers are aware that it is necessary not only to cherish the local folklore legacy, but also to research, deepen and spread it among people, because only in this way will it survive and be preserved. The biggest event that group organizes is International folklore festival in their hometown of Beltinci.
