Folklore Group KD FS ISKRAEMECO Kranj

Cultural Association Folklore Group ISKRAEMECO Kranj is one the most representative folklore groups in Slovenia with a long tradition and reputation, which was founded in 1978 under the auspices of the company ISKRAEMECO, d.d, Kranj. Within the Cultural Association Folklore Group ISKRAEMECO Kranj there are several dance sections (Main Group, Youth Group, Older Children Group and Younger Children Group), Musical and Tambura group, as well as a Vocal group, which all together count more than 120 members, mainly young people and students who dedicate their free time to learn and preserve traditional Slovenian dances and music. The group’s repertoire includes attractive choreographies of folk dances always accompanied by live music from different Slovenian regions such as its native Upper Carniola (Gorenjska) region, White Carniola (Bela Krajina) region, Prekmurje region, Goričko region, Primorska (Littoral) region, and many others.
