Folk Song and Dance Ensemble Podlasie AWF Biala Podlaska

Taking care of Polish folk culture, the Podlasie Song and Dance Ensemble is an ambassador of Polish culture in the country and around the world. For many years, it has proudly presented dance folklore by taking part in prestigious international folk festivals. Over the years of functioning in the cultural space, it has developed its brand and become recognizable both in Poland and abroad. The proof of the attention to the artistic level is systematic work, which translates into the current, high assessment and verification of the repertoire carried out by the Commission of Experts, the Polish Section of CIOFF®.
Podlasie has been a member of the Polish Section of CIOFF® almost from the beginning of its existence. The Song and Dance Ensemble Podlasie represents the country in the largest international folklore festivals in the world. In recent years 2016-2025, these included: South America (Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil), North America (Canada, USA), Asia (Indonesia, Taiwan, China), the Middle East (United Arab Emirates, Oman), and also Europe (Netherlands, Turkey, Portugal, Belarus).
The group's activities are based mainly on education and popularization of dance. He has educated many instructors and animators, and the importance of this long-term work is constantly emphasized by students and graduates who are involved in the development and promotion of native culture. Podlasie has in its rich repertoire Polish National Dances, as well as dances from many regions of the country. Artistic activity is reinforced by performances and dance and music performances, which have become a permanent part of the group's activities. Podlasie is the initiator of many nationwide educational dance and music projects, having been implementing Educational meetings with folklore for over 30 years, as well as the Zapusty na Podlasiu program. Podlasie is the author and main organizer of the Korobeczka Festival of Traditional Podlasie Dances and Games. With teaching facilities, it organizes numerous dance workshops and postgraduate studies in Dance carried out under the auspices of PS CIOFF®.
In 2021, the Podlasie group released the studio album Zagrajże Muzyko recorded in the Polish Radio S4 Studio, available on most music services, including: Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL, Amazon, etc.
Thanks to the staff and the academic nature of the group, many scientific and research projects are also carried out, including the most important one entitled: Analysis of kinematic and dynamic parameters and motor skills of dancers in concert and training conditions, Traditional culture of the Bug River inhabitants etc.
