Every two years on the third weekend in July, Scheeßel becomes a place of encounter and diversity. People from all over the world come together to celebrate culture and tradition. Costume festivals have been part of the town’s history since 1904 and in their present form since 1975. In 2027, events will again take place at the Heimathaus and Meyerhof. The highlight is the large parade on Sunday with traditional costumes, marching bands, and decorated floats – a treat for the whole family.
