The International Folklore Festival VELIKO TARNOVO® is international cultural event, in which folklore groups and their musicians perform. The Festival is confirmed as the biggest international folklore event in the Balkans. Since 2000 the Festival won the statute "CIOFF International Festival CIOFF".
The festival is located in the ancient capital of Bulgaria - Veliko Tarnovo and the area around the city. The city and the area are popular with the culture historical landmarks, beautiful natural area and contemporary infrastructure.
