NATIONAL SECTION
ABOUT US
The CIOFF Italy Section, in harmony with the principles and directives of CIOFF® International and UNESCO, aims to:a) contribute to the promotion and dissemination of the culture of peace, coexistence, brotherhood and friendship among peoples and the protection of civil rights; b) promote international understanding, the exchange of knowledge and experiences and the protection of the traditions, customs and habits of the peoples of the world, with special regard to ethnic and linguistic minorities.In particular, the CIOFF® Italy Section, within the framework of the aforementioned objectives, ensures: - the organization of cultural, artistic, musical, and folkloristic events of national and international importance; - the coordination of Folklore Festivals promoted by its members, with the creation of "circuits" between the various regions involved; - the implementation of initiatives aimed at increasing relationships and exchanges between folk and traditional music groups with members of the Italian Section and with other international Sections; - the involvement of schools and younger generations in its activities, with the aim of rediscovering the many treasures of "popular culture"; - the implementation of research, studies, scientific conferences, exhibitions, and publications on "popular traditions," and in particular on music, dance, costume, and singing; - the collaboration with other CIOFF® Sections and with various national and international organizations, bodies, and institutions that pursue the same objectives; the promotion of the Intangible Cultural Heritage linked to the popular traditions of the territories of the member Festivals, possibly combining this with the promotion of the Material Heritage of the same territories.

In particular, the CIOFF® Italy Section, within the framework of the aforementioned objectives, ensures:
