ABOUT US
The CIOFF® Costa Rica National Section is an organization committed to the protection and promotion of the country's folklore and cultural traditions. Through its ongoing work, it supports artistic groups from different regions, providing spaces for learning, expression, and cultural exchange.
By organizing workshops, talks, meetings, and training activities, the CIOFF® Costa Rica National Section strengthens the work of folklore groups and motivates new generations to keep alive the cultural expressions unique to each community. These actions not only rescue traditional practices but also foster pride in the Costa Rican identity and consolidate the social fabric around art and culture.
With an inclusive and decentralized vision, the organization promotes initiatives that reach rural and urban areas, encouraging the active participation of children, youth, and adults in cultural processes that enrich the country's intangible heritage.
