SLOVENIA

One of the 10 founding members of CIOFF® in 1970 was dr. Bruno Ravnikar, who in that time also founded CIOFF® Yugoslavia. When Yugoslavia collapsed in 1991, he founded CIOFF® Slovenia in the same year. CIOFF® Slovenia first belonged to the Southern European Sector of CIOFF®, then moved to CNES.

Of course, we try to help our member groups to tour to foreign festivals where they showcase Slovenian cultural heritage. We also help our festivals that need our help. Recently, we have also been organising seminars, such as singing seminars, seminars for folk musicians, and in the future, other topics that our members need in order to be able to function as well and as easily as possible.
