POLAND

The Polish Section of CIOFF®, operating as an association, has played a very active role in the organization since its inception. The richness and diversity of our folklore and its still vivid manifestations in many regions of Poland are, in this respect, unquestionable allies of these activities.
They focus on issues related primarily to such activities as: organizing foreign exchange of folklore groups, folk artists, experts, publications and information; selecting and recommending folklore groups and specialists to participate in international CIOFF® festivals around the world, including in Poland; providing substantive assistance in developing programs for groups and their stage presentations; initiating and co-organizing various types of events aimed at popularizing folklore and folk art; organizing seminars, workshops to improve the instructor staff of folklore groups and conferences related to folklore issues; publishing own and foreign publications and training materials; implementation of a broadly understood programme of education for children and youth in the field of cultural heritage.
