AUSTRIA

The history of the Federation of Austrian Traditional Costume and Heritage Associations dates back to 1908, when the first national association was founded in Salzburg. After the war, on May 25, 1947, the "Working Group of the Provincial Associations of Traditional Costume Clubs of Austria" was established. As the umbrella organization for Austria's ten provincial associations, the Federation's mission is to network, coordinate, and represent their interests at the national level.
