CIOFF invites its Members to participate in the Sharjah International Award for Cultural Heritage
CIOFF invites its National Sections and Partner Members to take part in the Sharjah International Award for Cultural Heritage, an international initiative organized by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (United Arab Emirates).
The Award aims to recognize and honor outstanding efforts in the safeguarding, transmission, and research of cultural heritage, particularly intangible cultural heritage, in line with UNESCO principles.
The Award includes three main fields, each with local, Arab, and international levels:
Best practices in safeguarding cultural heritage
Narrators and heritage bearers (“Living Human Treasures”)
Research and studies in cultural heritage
CIOFF encourages its members to identify and nominate suitable candidates from their countries, including individuals, communities, cultural organizations, and researchers whose work contributes to the protection and continuity of living heritage.
