Trinational Youth Meeting
From 26 to 29 March 2026, the city of Arica, Chile, will host the 5th CIOFF® Trinational Youth Meeting, an initiative of the youth commissions of CIOFF® Bolivia, CIOFF® Chile and CIOFF® Peru, which will bring together youth volunteers and cultural agents from the three countries to strengthen cultural integration and the role of youth in the promotion and safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
During these days, delegations from Bolivia, Chile and Peru will take part in exchange activities, workshops, training sessions and dialogue spaces, as well as artistic performances showcasing representative cultural expressions from each country.
The program includes an Artistic Gala open to the community, which will take place at the Municipal Theatre of Arica on Friday, 27 March at 20:00.
The meeting activities will be held at the University of Tarapacá. Participating delegations will be accommodated at the Villa Albergue of the Carlos Dittborn Stadium, a space that will foster interaction and cultural exchange among participants.
Training Activities and Guest Speakers
The training sessions will be led by distinguished cultural practitioners and researchers:
Rodomiro Huanca Vásquez: practitioner and researcher of Andean traditions, recognized for his work in preserving cultural knowledge from northern Chile.
Camilo Leiva Jiménez: anthropologist and folklorist dedicated to the research, documentation and stage projection of Chilean Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Paula Gallardo Díaz: artist and cultural manager with experience in artistic mediation and cultural education processes.
Pablo Domínguez Calderón: teacher, musician and cultural manager with a background in education, musical creation and community work.

The organization of the meeting would like to express its sincere appreciation to the University of Tarapacá and the Municipality of Arica for their valuable support and collaboration in making this initiative possible.
Since its first edition in 2018, the Trinational Youth Meeting has consolidated itself as a space for integration, intercultural dialogue and cooperation among youth linked to folklore and Intangible Cultural Heritage in the region.
Bolivia, Chile and Peru come together once again to strengthen friendship and to develop new cultural initiatives jointly.

Arica será sede del 5° Encuentro Trinacional de Jóvenes CIOFF®
Entre el 26 y el 29 de marzo de 2026, la ciudad de Arica, Chile, será sede del 5° Encuentro Trinacional de Jóvenes CIOFF®, una iniciativa de las comisiones juveniles de CIOFF® Bolivia, CIOFF® Chile y CIOFF® Perú, que reunirá a voluntarios y agentes culturales de los tres países para fortalecer la integración cultural y el trabajo de las nuevas generaciones en la promoción y salvaguardia del patrimonio cultural inmaterial.
Durante estos días, delegaciones de Bolivia, Chile y Perú participarán en actividades de intercambio, talleres, capacitaciones y espacios de diálogo, además de presentaciones artísticas que permitirán compartir expresiones culturales representativas de cada país.
El programa contempla una Gala Artística abierta a la comunidad, que se realizará en el Teatro Municipal de Arica el viernes 27 de marzo a las 20:00 horas.
Las actividades del encuentro se desarrollarán en dependencias de la Universidad de Tarapacá. Las delegaciones participantes se alojarán en la Villa Albergue del Estadio Carlos Dittborn, espacio que favorecerá la convivencia y el intercambio cultural entre los participantes.
Espacios formativos y relatores invitados
Las capacitaciones estarán a cargo de destacados/as exponentes del ámbito cultural:
Rodomiro Huanca Vásquez: cultor e investigador de las tradiciones andinas, reconocido por su trabajo en la preservación de saberes del norte de Chile.
Camilo Leiva Jiménez: antropólogo y folklorista, dedicado a la investigación, archivo y proyección escénica del patrimonio cultural inmaterial chileno.
Paula Gallardo Díaz: artista y gestora cultural, con experiencia en mediación artística y procesos formativos en cultura.
Pablo Domínguez Calderón: profesor, músico y gestor cultural, con trayectoria en educación, creación musical y trabajo comunitario.

En esta edición, las delegaciones serán recibidas por agrupaciones locales de la ciudad de Arica, vinculadas a CIOFF® Chile:

El Encuentro Trinacional se desarrolla desde 2018, consolidándose como un espacio de integración, diálogo intercultural y cooperación entre las juventudes vinculadas al folklore y al patrimonio cultural inmaterial de la región.
Bolivia, Chile y Perú se reúnen una vez más para fortalecer la amistad y proyectar nuevas iniciativas culturales en conjunto.
