CULTURAL DANCE CLUB DIONISOS

The Centre for Research and Study of Traditional Dance and Folk Culture Dionysos aims to preserve, safeguard, and promote the cultural heritage of both the local and wider Greek region. It achieves this through various activities, including participation in music and dance festivals in Greece and abroad. As a member of CIOFF, the International Council of Organizers of Folk Culture and Traditional Arts Events, the Centre plays an active role in the global promotion of folk traditions.

It maintains a dedicated space for traditional dance classes for all ages, including children and adults, as well as a lecture hall and a museum. Additionally, the Centre houses a wardrobe with a collection of costumes from different regions of Greece. It also publishes books and CDs focused on traditional music and dance. Furthermore, it organizes seminars on the teaching, presentation, and performance of traditional dances in their original form.
