International Folklore Festiva of Octodurel - FIFO-Martigny

Our festival comes to life in Martigny, in the heart of Valais, Switzerland, surrounded by our mountains. From the very first day, our mission, our DNA, has been to build bridges. We want to promote the incredible richness of the dances, music, and traditions that make our planet so beautiful. For us, values ​​like peace, sincere dialogue, and deep respect for cultures are not just words; they are the pillars of everything we build.

Every two years, the magic happens again. We have the privilege of inviting around ten extraordinary groups from all corners of the globe. They don't just come as artists; they come as ambassadors of their culture.
They join our own Swiss and Valaisan artists for a week of intense sharing. It's a remarkable machine, driven by 150 volunteers with immense hearts, that brings together more than 300 artists and welcomes over 9,000 spectators. We offer breathtaking shows, of course, but FIFO is also workshops where we sweat together, colourful parades that fill the streets with joy, and a thousand moments of spontaneous exchange.
