International Folk Festival SILESIA

International Folklore Festival SILESIA 2026. From July 20 to 26.
Organized by the Song and Dance Ensemble "Śląsk". Stanisław Hadyna's folklore festival is an innovative idea for a creative approach to national and folk culture.
As part of the Festival, we invite amateur bands from all over the world to the headquarters of the professional band "Śląsk" in Koszęcin, presenting diverse native folklore but united by certain common features specific to each edition of the festival. Indirectly, the aim of the festival is to reach the young generation (both participants and viewers - recipients) in order to persuade them to actively participate in the transmission and reception of musical and dance traditions as well as native customs and customs.
By finding common features but also cultural differences, we encourage viewers and participants to use the achievements of their own cultural heritage.
The interpenetrating influences of different cultures constitute interesting material used by choreographers, composers and teachers who work with folklore groups on a daily basis.
The festival's partner is CIOFF - the Polish Section of the International Council of Associations, Festivals and Folk Art.
