The International Folklore Festival was established in 1978 on the initiative of the Municipality of Castiglione del Lago and the Azienda di Promozione Turistica del Trasimeno. Organized by the Agilla e Trasimeno Folk Group, it welcomes folkloric groups from different countries every year, creating opportunities for cultural exchange through traditions, music, dance, and traditional costumes. The event celebrates the cultural heritage of peoples and promotes dialogue between communities in the spirit of “unity in diversity.”
