BALLUS 24 ° Incontro Internazionale del folklore

The Uta Pro Loco organizes the international folklore festival, "BALLUS – International Folklore Meeting," conceived in 2001 by Romano Massa, President of the local Pro Loco and artistic director of the current festival.
It is one of the international folklore events that is the flagship of the Uta summer.
Every year, Ballus sees the participation of numerous groups from all over the world, who share their customs, costumes, dances, music, and traditions.
It aims to foster mutual understanding between different realities, the defense of cultural roots, the acceptance of diversity, and a policy of peace among all peoples. A further objective of the event is to promote and enhance the monumental, artistic-historical (Sanctuary of Santa Maria), the splendid setting of Ballus.
