International Folk Festival "Moles Aeterna" - Moliterno 2026

In August 1995, the "U Cirnicchiu" Folk Group launched the first International Folklore Festival "Moles Aeterna."
There are essentially two motivations and objectives:
1. To offer a glimpse into Lucanian folk and peasant culture by comparing it with the cultures and popular traditions of other countries and continents, with the aim of contributing
to the construction of a true culture of peace;
2. To promote awareness and the image of the Basilicata Region, with an international event, to the attention of scholars and enthusiasts of folk traditions, with
the ambition of contributing to the promotion of cultural tourism and "Roots" tourism.
It is an opportunity for sharing, entertainment, and learning. The performances offered during the gala evenings go far beyond
spectacular: it is a journey that, through costumes, music, and dance, knows no barriers of space and time.
