Zagreb International Folklore Festival
Zagreb International Folklore Festival has traditionally been held since 1966. The Festival's objective is to present and affirm the status of traditional culture and folklore of its numerous local and international participants. In modern-day Croatia, the International Folklore Festival has become part of the global movement led by UNESCO that aims to safeguard intangible cultural heritage. In 2014, the Croatian Ministry of Culture and the City of Zagreb pronounced it a festival of national significance.
