A North-South Love Story... Marine Dupuis, 55, a journalist for 30 years, television presenter, and scuba diving instructor, discovered the Comoros 25 years ago, after traveling the world several times. Very quickly, a unique bond formed between her and the Comorians, a true love story, and soon she would dedicate her time, energy, and resources to them. In 2004, she single-handedly organized, without any funding, the second edition of what would become the Festival of the Moon. By managing to mobilize forces and energy to revive a disappearing musical tradition, she achieved immense success: nearly two thousand people from numerous villages flocked to the concerts each evening. The Festival of the Moon is the culmination of this love story between Marine Dupuis Baudrillard and the Comoros. And since it has been "on the horizon," something has changed in the hearts of many Comorians. The hope it has instilled in the hearts of Comorians is matched only by her passion for this country. Neither must be extinguished. It is from this love story between Marien Dupuis and the Comoros that the Festival of the Moon and Traditional Music of the Comoros was created.
