The Yilan International Children's Folklore & Folkgame Festival, known as YICFFF, celebrated by the Yilan County Government and coordinated by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Yilan County and the Lan-yang Cultural and Educational Foundation from 1996 is one of the most prestigious international folk events in Taiwan. It takes place annually from the first weekend of July and lasts for 44 days. The following is its major achivements.
- It has listed as one of the 12 most important monthly activities, defined by the Tourist Bureau, Republic of China in Taiwan for years.
- Till 2025, it has had more than 10,000,000 visitors and 434 folk participating groups from 100 countries/ regiones around the world since its establishment in 1996.

The Yilan International Children's Folklore & Folkgamke Festival is a multi- functional event of 4 themes, performance, game, exhibition and exchange. It is held in the Dong- shan River Water Park of Yilan County, north- east part of Taiwan with following characters.
- It is a happy festival in which different programs and facilities are available for people, especially the family to enjoy a happy summer.
- It is a festival famous for cultural exchange in which participating groups from different parts of the world get together, make performance on the same satge, presenting the folk art of their countries to the public, learn from each other through different activities like group's night, home dishes and experience the culture and life of Taiwan from various cultural programs such as the Chinese and Taiwanese art workshop, school visit and local community package tour while the local people can get to know the world in the festival without the need to go abroad.
- It is an economic festival which promotes the local tourist and economic development. To date, the economic benefit of the event is estimated to be 10 billion New Taiwan Dollars (US$33,333,333/ €28,571,429).
- It is a qualified festival, which is recognized as CIOFF® International Festival by CIOFF® since 11 November 2010.
