VARAŽDINSKI FOLKLORNI ANSAMBL

Varaždinski folklorni ansambl (VFA, Varaždin Folklore Ensemble) is one of the most awarded and accomplished amateur folklore ensembles in Croatia. VFA was founded in 1998 in the city of Varaždin. Varaždinski folklorni ansambl performs Croatian folk songs and dances in elaborate stage shows with high artistic quality, always in authentic traditional costumes. All our performances are accompanied with live music by a tamburitza orchestra, which can also perform concerts on its own.

  Fin Hrvaćanin

  Fin Hrvaćanin has been the president of the Varaždin Folklore Ensemble since 2023. Hrvaćanin is a professional dancer-singer in the Ensemble of Croatian Folk Dances and Songs LADO since 2018. He graduated in economics from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb.

  Tim Hrvaćanin

  Tim Hrvaćanin has been the artistic director of the Varaždin Folklore Ensemble since 2021. He graduated in journalism at the Faculty of Political Sciences and dramaturgy at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. He worked as an assistant at the Kerempuh Satirical Theater in Zagreb, the Zagreb Youth Theater and the Croatian National Theater in Varaždin. He directed the dance performance "Tichek se oženil" co-produced by the Croatian National Theater in Varaždin and the Varaždin Folklore Ensemble.
