Consonance – International Festival of Advent and Christmas Traditions, Carols and Handicrafts is held during pre-Christmas festive time at several places of the Moravian-Silesian Region. From Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th December, its rich programme offers not only concerts and performances at attractive venues such as churches, concert halls and open-air stages, but also accompanying exhibitions, handicrafts, film projections and degustation of products of both local and foreign gastronomy. The festival will be inaugurated on Thursday with a programme in St John and Paul´s church in Frýdek-Místek. On Friday the activities will be transferred to Kuncice pod Ondrejníkem. Another part of the festival is the favourite Saturday Christmas fair at Kozlovice, accompanied by a programme on Christmas folk customs and traditions and followed by an offer of regional culinary specialties. The Consonance festival, which is a unique international show of its kind, will be further embellished on Sunday by Holy Mass in Ostrava-Mariánské hory, which precedes the final gala concert at the House of Culture of the city of Frenštát pod Radhoštem.
