The International Festival of Children's Folklore began its activity in 2004 and is intended for children from 6 to 16 years of age. Through its activities, the festival promotes the preservation of intangible cultural heritage and motivates others to do the same. Through direct contact with the audience, the festival develops and establishes intercultural dialogue and education in the field of folklore art. For seventeen years, 305 children's folklore ensembles participated in the festival program, which is about 10,975 young folklorists. Every year, the festival is held in a smaller environment, thus making its contribution to the decentralization of culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The festival has also established cross-border cultural cooperation. In seventeen years of work, it has become multicultural, multinational and multiethical, because it has become a meeting place of nations, peoples and different cultures. The motto of our festival is: "Let's do everything so that the burning sparks of hope for reconciliation and mutual respect grow into the fire of friendship in the Balkans and the whole world."
