Festivals

An increasing number of festivals are created inviting groups from several countries. This festivals do not take place in the capital cities but very often in smaller towns where it is easier to involve the whole population and have a friendly atmosphere.

This is the case, among others, in the French city of Confolens, in the region of Charente. Since 1958, an international folklore festival is taking place very year with more and more folklore amateurs - taking this last word also in its french meaning. After coming with their folk group, many of the members come back as friends, full of enthusiasm for the fraternal atmosphere and the growing artistic quality of the performances.

Henri Coursaget, President of Confolens festival, with all his enthusiasm and dynamism, takes the initiative of gathering all this persons together to collaborate, a majority of them being festival organizers and facing the same problems in their tasks.
